ചെഗുവേര എന്നും ചെ എന്നു മാത്രവും പൊതുവെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഏര്‍ണസ്റ്റോ ഗുവേര ഡി ലാ സെര്‍ന (1928 ജൂണ്‍ 14 - 1967 ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 9) അര്‍ജന്റീനയില്‍ ജനിച്ച ഒരു മാര്‍ക്സിസ്റ്റ് വിപ്ലവ നേതാവും ക്യൂബന്‍, അന്തര്‍ദ്ദേശീയ ഗറില്ലകളുടെ നേതാവും ആയിരുന്നു. ചെറുപ്പത്തില്‍ വൈദ്യപഠനം നടത്തിയ ചെഗുവേരയ്ക്ക്, ദക്ഷിണ അമേരിക്കയിലുടനീളം നടത്തിയ യാത്രകളിലൂടെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ ദരിദ്രമായ ചുറ്റുപാടുകള്‍ നേരിട്ട് മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ സാധിച്ചു. ഈ യാത്രകളിലുണ്ടായ അനുഭവങ്ങളും അതില്‍ നിന്നുള്‍കൊണ്ട നിരീക്ഷണങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ സാമൂഹിക സാമ്പത്തിക വ്യതിയാനങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ള പ്രതിവിധി വിപ്ലവമാണെന്നുള്ള തീരുമാനത്തിലെത്തിക്കുകയും, മാര്‍ക്സിസത്തെ പറ്റി കൂടുതലായി പഠിക്കാനും ഗ്വാട്ടിമാലയില്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ജേക്കബ് അര്‍ബന്‍സ് ഗുസ്മാന്‍ നടത്തിയ പരിഷ്ക്കാരങ്ങളെ പറ്റി അറിയാനും കാരണമായി.
1956-ല്‍ മെക്സിക്കോയില്‍ ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ചെഗുവേര ഫിഡല്‍ കാസ്ട്രോയുടെ വിപ്ലവ പാര്‍ട്ടിയായ ജൂലൈ 26-ലെ മുന്നേറ്റ സേനയില്‍ ചേരുകയും 1959-ല്‍ അവര്‍, ഏകാധിപതിയായ ജനറല്‍ ഫുള്‍ജെന്‍സിയോ ബാറ്റിസ്റ്റയില്‍ നിന്നും ക്യൂബയുടെ അധികാരം പിടിച്ചെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. വിപ്ലവാനന്തരം, “സുപ്രീം പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടര്‍” എന്ന പദവിയില്‍ നിയമിതനായ ചെഗുവേരയായിരുന്നു മുന്‍ഭരണകാലത്തെ യുദ്ധകുറ്റവാളികളുടേയും മറ്റും വിചാരണ നടത്തി വിധി നടപ്പിലാക്കിയിരുന്നത്. പുതിയ ഭരണകൂടത്തില്‍ പല പ്രധാന തസ്തികകളും വഹിക്കുകയും ഗറില്ലാ യുദ്ധമുറകളെ പറ്റി പുസ്തകങ്ങളും ലേഖനങ്ങളും എഴുതിയതിനും ശേഷം ചെഗുവേര 1965-ല്‍ കോംഗോയിലും തുടര്‍ന്ന് ബൊളീവിയയിലും വിപ്ലവം നടത്തുകയെന്ന ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെ ക്യൂബ വിട്ടു. ബൊളീവിയയില്‍ വെച്ച് സി.ഐ.ഐ. യുടേയും അമേരിക്കന്‍ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യേക സേനയുടേയും[1] സഹായത്തോടെയുള്ള ഒരു ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ പിടിയിലായ ചെഗുവേരയെ 1967 ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 9-നു ബൊളീവിയന്‍ സൈന്യം വാലിഗ്രനേഡിനടുത്തുള്ള ലാ ഹിഗ്വേരയില്‍ വെച്ച് വിചാരണ കൂടാതെ വധിച്ചു.[2]
മരണത്തിനു ശേഷം ചെഗുവേര സാമൂഹിക വിപ്ലവ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു പ്രതീകമായി മാറുകയും ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള പോപ് സംസ്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രതിരൂപമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു. ആല്‍ബര്‍ട്ടോ കോര്‍ദയെടുത്ത ചെഗുവേരയുടെ ചിത്രം പ്രമുഖപ്രചാരം നേടുകയും ടീഷര്‍ട്ടുകളിലും പ്രതിഷേധ ബാനറുകളിലും എല്ലാം ഒരു സ്ഥിരം കാഴ്ചയാവുകയും ചെയ്തു. അമേരിക്കയിലെ മേരിലാന്‍ഡ് സര്‍വ്വകലാശാല ഈ ചിത്രത്തെ ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തമായ ചിത്രമെന്നും ഇരുപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ പ്രതീകമെന്നും വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചു.[3]

Communism
Communism is a socioeconomic structure that promotes the establishment of a classless, stateless society based on common ownership of the means of production. It is usually considered a branch of the broader socialist movement that draws on the various political and intellectual movements that trace their origins back to the work of theorists of the Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution. Communism attempts to offer an alternative to the problems believed to be inherent with capitalist economies and the legacy of imperialism and nationalism.
states that the only way to solve these problems would be for the working class, or proletariat, to replace the wealthy bourgeoisie, which is currently the ruling class, in order to establish a peaceful, free society, without classes, or government. The dominant forms of communism, such as Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism, Trotskyism and Luxemburgism, are based on Marxism, but non-Marxist versions of communism (such as Christian communism and anarchist communism) also exist and are growing in importance since the fall of the Soviet Union.
Ernesto "Che" Guevara
Ernesto "Che" Guevara (May 14, 1928 – October 9, 1967), commonly known as Che Guevara, El Che, or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, politician, author, physician, military theorist, and guerrilla leader. His stylized image also later became a countercultural symbol worldwide.
As a young medical student, Guevara travelled through Latin America and was transformed by the endemic poverty he witnessed. His experiences and observations during these trips led him to conclude that the region's inequalities were a result of monopoly capitalism, neo-colonialism, and imperialism, with the only remedy being world revolution. This belief prompted his involvement in Guatemala's social revolution under President Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán, whose eventual CIA-assisted overthrow solidified Guevara’s radical ideology.
Later, in Mexico, he joined and was promoted to commander in Fidel Castro’s 26th of July Movement, playing a pivotal role in the successful guerrilla campaign to overthrow the U.S.-backed Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista. After the Cuban revolution, Guevara served in many prominent governmental positions, including President of the National Bank and “supreme prosecutor” over the revolutionary tribunals and executions of suspected war criminals from the previous regime. Along with traveling to meet world leaders on behalf of Cuban socialism, he was a prolific writer and diarist: his published work includes a manual on the theory and practice of guerrilla warfare. Guevara left Cuba in 1965 to incite revolutions first in an unsuccessful attempt in Congo-Kinshasa and then in Bolivia, where he was captured with help of the CIA and executed.
Both notorious for his harsh discipline and revered for his unwavering dedication to his revolutionary doctrines, Guevara remains a controversial and significant historical figure. Because of his death, romantic visage, invocation to armed class struggle, and desire to create the consciousness of a "new man"; Guevara became an icon of leftist revolutionary movements worldwide, as well as a global merchandising sensation. He has been venerated and reviled in dozens of biographies, memoirs, books, essays, documentaries, songs, and films. Time Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century, while an Alberto Korda photograph of him entitled Guerrillero Heroico, has been declared "the most famous photograph in the world."
